LeBron's "Think Pink" VII

Not typically a fan of Bron Bron's kicks, but these "Think Pink" LeBron VII's, in honor of breast cancer awareness, are pretty stinkin dope. Not many cats in the league could pull these off, but who am I kidding. It's the king; he can rock anything. -JSawyer

Creative Recs - Holiday 2009 - Cesario Black Tartan

A fan of the Creative Recreation brand as a whole, this holiday edition sneaker is pretty much money for me. I love the colorway, and am really digging the red laces. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars. -JSawyer

Plaid in shirts and on jackets are hardly news worth raising an eyebrow for these days. However, take the classic emblem of tribe loyalty and put it somewhere new, a classic is reborn. Creative Recreation brings in the tartan for Holiday 2009 and applies the timeless fabric to the label’s Cesario model. With a mix of Christmas-ready tartan and black suede accented upper, these shoes put the right amount of holiday spirit all in your step– plus, you get to enjoy plaid without clashing with everyone’s flannel button downs. The soles are matching with a black midsole and red outsole, complete with red laces. Great as a gift but even better for your own feet, the Cesario Black Tartan is now available for order via Creative Recreation.

Bird Vs. Dr. J - Shirt Release

Packer Shoes got some well-deserved attention with the release of their standout model of the Reebok Pump 20 model that was dedicated to the legacy of an often overlooked baller–Domique Wilkins. A heritage approach to the sneaker is what made the sneaker such a success, and the same N.B.A. nostalgia can be found on these shirts released by Packer Shoes. This image is from a 1984 confrontation between Larry Bird and Julius “Dr. J” Erving. Packer released a run of these shirts in the past, but have re-released them in Boston Celtics green Philadelphia 76ers red and gray. The script Packer Shoes logo is sewn onto the sleeve, while the date of the altercation–11/9/84 is screenprinted on the inside of the shirt. These are available now at Packer Shoes. Being a huge hoops fan and an admirer of the games of both Larry the Legend and Dr. J, this shirt idea by Packer is phenomenal. I give it the coveted 5 out of 5 stars. -JSawyer

Offspring x Converse

Okay, so we all know that Converse is my fave sneaker brand. I could never go against the classics, and this edition/collabo with Offspring is dope-tastic. 3.5 out of 5 stars. -JSawyer

Working on the new CONVERSE All Star Hi 2 Strap model, Offspring had collaborated with American heritage footwear label, CONVERSE, to create two new colorways of the new kick. Ready for holiday partying, these kicks feature a hi-gloss mix of perforated and patent leather and come in black/pink and grey/pink/blue versions. The black colorway mixes black perforated leather with matching black patent leather accents with purple heel panel and accented in pink stitching and laces. meanwhile, the grey colorway features a mix of grey patent leather upper with powder blue panel with pink straps and laces. The soles and toe caps remain distinctly Chuck Taylor All Star with black piping and logo patch in the heel. To commemorate this special collaboration release, Offspring has also created two matching limited edition toys featuring CONVERSE logos on Offspring’s iconic vinyl buddy. Dropping in store and online atOffspring this coming Saturday, Dec. 5, stay tuned if you are looking for some fly kicks as presents!

J Says (Pt. 4)

Considering the most recent realization that even while his conscious lay at rest, his mind may still be seamlessly at work against him, the feeble traveler had no choice but to pick himself up, dust all debris and leftover residue from his previous days slaving and press onward. With what seemed to be his entire life's journey, the bad far exceeding the good, on his battered broken down back, the man haphazardly pressed the lids over his burning eyes, outstretched his bloodied yet brazen right arm, and somewhat aimlessly turned around and around until he felt something inside him gently urge him to stop. "There! That is the path best suited to continue my laborious campaign," he uttered triumphantly. Not exactly the premier model example for decision making 101, but the fellow had indeed come a long way to even continue all by his lonesome.

An all too aberrant, overwhelming sensation and youthful blanket of confidence had suddenly wrapped itself around the journeyed warrior almost as if to frighten him initially simply for fear of the unknown. Could he have been so affected by the merciless reel that played for him just hours ago during his slumber? Nonetheless, for better or for worse, he had been stirred a bit, but finally in the opposite direction from where he had been quickly spiraling. Rejuvenated life, could the wilderness' most recent and preyed victim be experiencing such a gift? His steps seemed to be taken with greater purpose, his eyes now fixed on that even of the unseen, his heart as it were now taken off life support. Was crisis now averted?

Swiftly and all so craftily maneuvering his re-engerized mass of self existence, what were basically a corpse just a time ago, the traveler noticed even his thought process had managed an assured 180. "My wife, the kids, my beautiful black labrador, there will indubitably be some changes taking affect when I reach my sweet place of rest. I know I have driven them further and further from what should be their rock, their figure of fortitude. I just hope that I am not too late." -JSawyer
