Jake Davis Test Shots | Josh Peskowitz

Esteemed videographer Jake Davis, and his series of Test Shots has become quite the interesting montage when it comes to showcasing vibrant and passionate creatives. In this set of visuals Davis chose to capture one of New York's most stylish and pioneering individuals, Josh Peskowitz. Peskowitz is a 30 year old freelance editor, writer, stylist, and fashion consultant who's resume is nothing short of impressive, just as is his sense of fashion and the classics. Take a look and lend a close ear as we are awarded a bit of insight into Peskowitz's take on fashion.

Tom Ford Spring/Summer 2011 Moccasins

Legendary designer Tom Ford appeals to the outdoors and Native American side of things with these new Moccasins presented in his upcoming Spring/Summer 2011 collection. If you solely catch a glimpse of the footwear from the front, it would appear as just your average Moccasin slipper, but once you get the horizontal side view, you see where Ford used his imagination. A shredded flap accents the deep orangey brown leather and is capped off by thick stitching to add to vivid detailing.

It's Confirmed. Sneaker/Suit Combos are a Go

Spotted on the red carpet during the premiere showing for highly anticipated action thriller Iron Man 2, Robert Downy Jr. and Justin Theroux have continued one of the most recent fashion trends in rocking a nice pair of sneakers with their suits. I for one, am all in favor. Not a huge fan of formal dress-wear to begin with, this is definitely a train I could board. It sure doesn't hurt that Theroux is rocking some custom Air Force 1's. I could definitely see Nike dunks as a go to sneaker for the combo. Time to up on my formal appearances so I can try it out! -JSawyer

So Ambitious Tee - From Motivation

Coming from a tee shit connoisseur that has been in quite a lull as of late, this drop right here from Motivation is one of the illest I have seen in quite some time. Channeling Jay-Z and Pharrell's So Ambitious.

Paul Rodriguez x Incase

This has got to be the illest backpack I have ever seen. From the colors, to the innovative material, and legitimate number of pockets. I would expect nothing less from something related to P-Rod. -JSawyer

Peanuts x New Era Japan Cap Collection

Celebrating the work of legendary artist Charles M. Schulz and his internationally recognized comic strip, Peanuts, New Era Japan create two new sets of “Peanuts” fitted caps. As always, the brand utilizes its industry-leading 59Fifty platform and creatively embroiders the classic Peanut characters, including Charlie Brown, Lucy, Woodstock and Snoopy, onto the caps. While the primarily black set is now available online, the other looks to drop in January of 2010. (via Hypebeast)

Always looking for something "different," these Peanut New Eras are pretty dope in my opinion. My lil sis is a pretty huge fanatic of Peanuts. Think she'd rock it if I snagged her one?? Ha ha okay, maybe not... -JSawyer

Crooks & Castles x Seiko WIRED H

Following the successful launch of its UNDERCOVER collaboration last month, timepiece label WIRED h, a subsidiary of electronic giant Seiko, paired up with Crooks & Castles, in creating a special watch for the quintessential So-Cal brand.  Featured the the “chain link” coil motif, in black and red, set around the bezel, the Crooks & Castles edition carried 2 technical advancements WIRED h is known for. First, the face of the watch is dotted with miniature solar panels, which constantly charges the battery, no matter the light source. An internal battery acts as a backup but it rarely need to be change. The second advancement is the watch’s ability to synchronize with the atomic clock, via 2 low frequency radio towers, on a daily basis. This not only ensure the accuracy of the time (an accuracy of 1/100th of a second). It also ensure the user never have to adjust the time. In addition, the watch incorporate a large LCD, allow dual time displays of 32 major international cities, and is water resistant up to 100 meters (~300 feet).

Limited to 350 units worldwide, the Crooks & Castles x Seiko WIRED h Watch is currently available at selected WIRED h dealers across Japan and online retailers, such as STLESS of ZOZO shopping network.

Bird Vs. Dr. J - Shirt Release

Packer Shoes got some well-deserved attention with the release of their standout model of the Reebok Pump 20 model that was dedicated to the legacy of an often overlooked baller–Domique Wilkins. A heritage approach to the sneaker is what made the sneaker such a success, and the same N.B.A. nostalgia can be found on these shirts released by Packer Shoes. This image is from a 1984 confrontation between Larry Bird and Julius “Dr. J” Erving. Packer released a run of these shirts in the past, but have re-released them in Boston Celtics green Philadelphia 76ers red and gray. The script Packer Shoes logo is sewn onto the sleeve, while the date of the altercation–11/9/84 is screenprinted on the inside of the shirt. These are available now at Packer Shoes. (via the freshness mag)

Being a huge hoops fan and an admirer of the games of both Larry the Legend and Dr. J, this shirt idea by Packer is phenomenal. I give it the coveted 5 out of 5 stars. -JSawyer

Winfield Tweed New Era

Japanese based brand Winfield gives us a look at their latest fitteds just in time for those of us in the cold. Utilizing their token W New Era, they switch it up by using thick tweed material. It’s available in three different colorways and you can check out more courtesy of mashKULTURE.

A decent fitted is hard to come by these days, in my opinion. The tweed models from Winfield are pretty dope though. I give them a 4.5 out of 5 stars. -JS

Lancier - Dita Eyewear Collection

This is the first that I've seen from Dita Eyewear, and I must say that I like what they're doing. This collection was incorporated to be lightweight but also retain a bit of strength.

Lancier by Dita Eyewear™ is born of that truth, engineered to fulfill that requirement. Lancier lenses are of the highest optical quality, offered with and without polarization. Lancier frames are meticulously handcrafted by our master craftsmen in Japan from lightweight materials including titanium, zyl acetate and co-injected rubber. In addition, the frames feature our patented Temple Release™ technology. The result is eyewear as strong, adaptable and driven to perform as the individuals who choose to wear it.

The Lancier features three different models, with only 450 pieces being released all together. I give this creation by Dita a 4 out of 5 stars. -JS
