Crackberry Catch of the Day
Due to the recent monsoon in the Miami Dade area, the 305's inhabitants have resorted to wandering around by canoe and u-boats. It's been quite a good time if I do say so myself... -JSawyer

Crackberry Catch of the Day - "Band-Aids"
As I was pondering on the statement labeled on the above Polaroid, I was brought to my realization to the meaning behind my personal metaphor. My "band-aids" in life are my friends and family. Just under my faith, my family is the most important thing to me in this world, and I included in my kindred, friend relationships in that category. When life is giving you body blow after bone crushing body blow, your friends and family should be there to soften the hits and aid in the healing process. Keep them close and be sure to repay the favors when they are due. If not for family, I honestly believe that life would be less fulfilling. You cannot experience the true joy in anything until you share it with those closest to you. -JS

Crackberry Catch of the Day -- "A Litte Bit of Me"
A couple months ago, I decided to pack up shop and move my life down to Miami, FL. I had basically spent my entire life up to that point, in North Carolina, but it was time for a change. A change of scenery, a change of pace, a change of mindset. It was time to make things happen for myself. With big city dreams and the heart of a champion, I decided to take the plunge and relocate along with two great friends of mine. I have had intense plans of greatness ever since I was a young boy, and finally at the age of 23, it was time to set these plans into motion. My body is constantly flowing with creative juices. Sometimes I am not even aware of how to channel them, but I know the world needs to see. My three passions: music, writing, and fashion, have been a focal point for many years now. I have tried my hardest to shift my focus to other areas, but I am continually brought back to these three. By no means do I have my life's plan all mapped out yet, but I have begun my new journey, the next chapter of my life. In what way will I incorporate these three areas and make them one, huge success for myself? That, I am working on daily. I have decided that it is time to take the planning and draw out a map for myself, then just jump in! There is always necessary logistical action to be taken, but at some point you must simply go for it all. That is what I have learned recently, and that is what I am attempting to accomplish on a day to day basis. So back to where this post all started... It is more than just reppin' where you come from. It's a reminder to stay grounded and always remember your roots. Never forget how you got to where you are today.

Crackberry Catch of the Day + Quote/Thought of the Day
Today, as this car was stopped in front of me at the light, my mind began to race. Thoughts of ambition, accomplishment, and greatness. By no means do I measure the value of someone's success with their material wealth, but I do believe that I will get there one day! I am consistently focused on bettering myself and reaching new heights. Failure is not an option. Yes, I will fall, but more importantly, I will get back up and dust myself off ten times out of ten! God grant me greatness, that I may impact the world in a positive light! My dream is to inspire others, who will in turn, inspire! Keep the ball rolling...

Crackberry Catch of the Day
Now I know all of you guys out there are wondering who in the world this absolutely beautiful woman is... It's my mother, fellas!! One of the most influential and inspirational people in my life by far, not just because she's my mom, but merely because she is truly an amazing human being! She has had to deal with more than most people would in three or four lifetimes, yet in every situation, she continues to praise God. I have been super blessed with an amazing family in general and the best parents that a kid could ask for. I truly do believe that! My dad sent me this photo yesterday, and simply receiving this pic of my mom, I was instantly inspired...

Crackberry Catch of the Day/Thought of the Day
So I was on my lunch break at work the other day when I happened to look over and see this elderly couple sitting at the table next to me. I'm a people watcher so I always catch myself observing and noticing odd things about random, helpless characters that are nearest to me. In this case, it was more of some thoughts and curiosities that were running through my head than anything that the folks were actually doing. For some reason my thought process was focused on the elderly man. I began to wonder if this man had accomplished all that he had intended to. Had he be able to completely check off everything on his "Life To-Do List?" I'm sitting there next to him at the ripe age of 23, thinking that I have all the time in the world to tackle the many aspects of life that I intend to, but what about this guy? What did he have left to take on? Or was he in fact, finished? I certainly hope not. Just as I hope and pray that when I reach his age, I am still fighting for dreams that have yet to come true. I sincerely strive to wake up each day with a new set of goals for myself, new worlds to conquer! My point to all of this is never lose your fire! Whatever you have to do to keep your internal flame stoked, do it at all costs. When you are lying there on your death bed, do you really want thoughts of if's and but's and only if I could have's running through your head?

Crackberry Catch of the Day
My beautiful city of Miami! I get a new feeling of inspiration each day, simply by waking up in a city like this. The city is so full of possibilities, and diversity, and energy that it would be impossible for me to sit still. Moving to Miami is by far one of the best moves I have made in my life. I am anxious to see what God brings me next in this place! Making moves!!!
